Wayne Lauritzen is one of the two athletic trainers at Leander H.S. Wayne’s is married to Erin Lauritzen and they have two daughters, Hannah and Kendall. He graduated from Texas State University with a bachelor's degree and from North Texas State University with a master's degree.

It is our goal to provide comprehensive sports medicine services to the Leander H.S. athletes. We strive to return athletes to play as quickly and safely as possible. We serve as liaisons between coaches, doctors, parents and the athlete in order to facilitate the best possible care in a timely and safe manner. The local medical community assists us in our efforts including general physicians, orthopedic doctors, physical therapists, etc. The team physician is Michael Valastro, MD of Round Rock Orthopaedics & Rehab. We also work closely with Hill Country Family Health Specialists that include Ron Mansolo, MD and Elizabeth Burnell-Mansolo, MD. If you have any concerns or questions we encourage you to contact us.
